News Update: Public IDs Man Killed in 8-Vehicle Crash in Miami

MIAMI, FL - The public has confirmed the name of the Tesla driver who was killed in an eight-vehicle crash on I-95 Thursday, Miami Herald said. 

This collision happened after 2 a.m. near Northwest 62nd Street. The Tesla driver - who was identified as - Danny Agnew - a well-known business owner of The Roots Collective - lost control of his vehicle and collided with a concrete barrier wall. 

The Tesla became disabled, and another car on the interstate - a black Dodge sedan - struck Agenew, which caused him to be thrown from his vehicle. 

A driver of a white Nissan attempted to avoid hitting Agnew, but was unsuccessful and collided with a Chevy SUV. The collision between the Nissan and Chevy SUV made contact with Agnew, leading five other vehicles to also crash with one another. 

Agnew was pronounced dead at the scene, while five other occupants were sent to the hospital for moderate and serious injuries. 

Five others were involved in the wreck, but declined to be taken to a hospital.
