News: Pedestrian Dead After Miami Hit-And-Run Crash

MIAMI, FL - A pedestrian succumbed to fatal injuries after being purposefully run over by a driver Thursday.

The woman was walking in the area of SW 27th Avenue and 22nd Terrace around 5:45 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle, according to Local 10.

Video footage showed that the driver had malicious intent to hit the pedestrian, a 71-year-old white Hispanic woman.

The driver immediately fled the scene after hitting the woman with the vehicle.

It is unclear if the two knew each other or what car the driver operated.

In addition, police have not released the name of the 71-year-old woman and are in the process of trying to locate the driver.

Updates will be posted when they are confirmed by officials.
