News: One Dead, Two Hurt in Miami Crash on SR-826

MIAMI, FL - Two were taken to a hospital, and one life was claimed in a multi-vehicle crash around 5 a.m. Thursday. 

The collision occurred on State Route 826 near SW 24th Street, CBS Miami reported. 

For reasons unknown, the driver of a green Honda SUV lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a barrier wall. It led to her swerving across all the travel lanes and colliding with another blockade. 

Officials said the driver of the white Volkswagen Sedan was attempting to help the woman but was struck by a GMC SUV. 

The driver of the GMC succumbed to fatal injuries. 

The driver of the Honda is in critical condition, but no official word on what state the Volkswagen sedan driver is in.
