News: Man Fatally Struck by Car After Jumping From Miami Gardens Overpass

MIAMI GARDENS, FL - A man died after he jumped from the northbound State Road 823 overpass and onto Florida’s Turnpike and was struck by a car Monday.

WSVN said the man came to rest on the northbound lanes of FL’s Turnpike and was hit by a silver Honda sedan.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials blocked off Red Road North and northbound Florida’s Turnpike. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.

At this time, first responders have not revealed the reason why the man jumped or his identity.
