News: Man, 63, Hospitalized After Crash With Pole in Plantation

PLANTATION, FL - A driver experienced a medical episode that led him to crash into a power pole Tuesday.
According to WSVN, the incident happened on Sunrise Boulevard near the Plantation High School baseball field. Bystanders said the vehicle driver hit another passenger car and drove through a red light before colliding with a pole. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to catch fire immediately.
The driver of the fiery car, 63-year-old Charles Sedner, was unconscious. Officials said bystanders, a coach, and a few University of Fort Lauderdale baseball players were able to extricate Sedner from the vehicle.
Sedner suffered a fractured pelvic bone and rib and a shattered ankle. As of now, he remains in the intensive care unit.
