News: Homestead Scooter, Truck Rear-End Crash Leaves 1 Dead

HOMESTEAD, FL - A driver of a white box truck did not see a scooter driver and passenger, causing the motorist to strike the back of the scooter and the scooter passenger to suffer fatal injuries Tuesday.
NBC Miami said the collision happened before 4:45 a.m. on northbound U.S. 1 near the Southwest 137th Ave intersection in the Princeton district.
When the truck driver hit the rear of the scooter, a scooter passenger was thrown from his scooter and was killed at the scene.
The scooter operator sustained minor injuries while the box truck driver was unharmed.
