March 14, 2023
MIAMI, FL - Two Miami-Dade Police officers and several others were injured in a collision that happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The crash happened at the intersection of Northwest 103rd St. and NW 17th Ave., Local 10 reported.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said the two officers were following a stolen black pickup truck and tried to stop the driver of that vehicle.
As they were in the process of trying to catch up to the truck, a driver of a passenger car turned in front of the police car and collided. The impact caused the officers to hit two other vehicles.
It is unclear how many civilians were injured, but they, along with the two officers, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and appeared to be in stable condition.
MDPD was eventually able to book three suspects into custody.
