News: 2 Hospitalized, Three Dead After Miami Crash on I-95

MIAMI, FL - A fatal crash was reported on I-95 South before 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, CBS Miami revealed.

A driver of a northbound Nissan Altima lost control of the car and crashed into a Dodge Challenger before slamming into a tree and catching fire.

It is unclear if the driver of the Dodge Challenger was injured and if there were any occupants inside the vehicle who were hurt.

The impact of the collision caused two passengers from the Nissan Altima to be thrown from the vehicle. They were taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries.

Three occupants of the Nissan Altima succumbed to injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
