News: 2 Hospitalized, 2 Hurt in Crash Caused by Police Chase

MIAMI, FL - Two were hurt and two were sent to the hospital after a police pursuit in the area of SW 132nd Street and South Dixie Highway ended in a crash.
According to CBS News, this Wednesday evening collision was prompted as Miami Dade Police were taking a suspect into custody when the person purposely struck an officer’s vehicle and tried to flee the scene. That is when the chase started.
The chase ended when the suspect crashed into the back of a non-police white car and the marked police vehicle.
A pregnant woman and a two-year-old girl were treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the driver of the white car was sent to Jackson Memorial Health Sound and is in stable condition.
First responders took the suspect to a hospital, where his condition is unknown.
The officers were not hurt.
