News: 1 Hurt, 1 Killed When Miami Springs Police Chase Ends in Crash

MIAMI SPRINGS, FL - A police pursuit ended with the driver crashing into a utility pole, which claimed his life and sent the male passenger to a hospital with serious injuries Saturday.

NBC Miami said that Miami Springs officers tried to pull over the driver on westbound Northwest 36th Street for the stolen vehicle. The attempt was unsuccessful as the motorist drove away. Then in the area of Northwest 66th Ave, the driver struck a pole.

The passenger was sent to a hospital and is in stable condition. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
